Material Planner Engineer

* Job Duties :
- Ensure the steady flow of materials necessary for operating a manufacturing line without over-ordering or wasting resources.
- Handle the Materials Resource Planning (MRP) requirements periodically. Coordinate with production planning team to develop production plan requirements in a reasonable time.
- Assist production planning team in updating production plan according to availability of requirements - Monitor materials flow to identify bottlenecks and forecast problems.
- Liaise with other departments like procurement, logistics and warehouses regarding stocks levels and requirements supply status
- Update the BOM (Bill of Materials) system.
- Improve stock utilization by carefully planning required materials to increase productivity and decrease unused or misplaced items
- Develop material planning methods for ordering modules, order quantities, reorder point, safety stocks and supply lead times aligned with the overall strategy and objectives. - Identify areas of improvement in planning parameters that affect requirement ordering process
- Observe trends and customer requests to create and maintain inventory schedules.
- Contribute in process improvement and cost optimization initiatives.
* Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering, preferably Mechanical Males Only
- 2-5 years of experience in planning in manufacturing environment
- Good user of Excel and ERP systems
- Pre-intermediate English language level
- Planning & Organization Skills - Discipline and commitment
